The Mercury Centre combines production-scale manufacturing equipment with a powerful suite of analytical facilities including electron microscopy and computer modelling. The combination of these facilities provides a unique three stage solution to your manufacturing needs, refining product development through a cycle of continuous improvement.

The process starts with our state of the art computer modelling capabilities providing everything you need to predict product and process performance.

Our rangeof manufacturing techniques allows us to produce complex 3D structures, from micro-scale to large structural components. As well as investigating novel ways of processing novel materials.

Advanced materials characterisation allows you to better understand how processing parameters affect performance. The Centre is also home to the World’s most powerful microscope.
